The Big 3: American, Delta, United… and Southwest?

For decades, the trio of American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines, have controlled the skies above the majority of the United States. Along with their superiority nationally, they are also internationally recognized as some of the biggest operators in the sector. With that being said, their grip on the U.S. commercial travel industry has been near absolute, however that grip has slowly been weakened by no other than Southwest Airlines.
